c. Coach teachers in and model engagement of students in local and global interdisciplinary units in which technology helps students assume professional roles, research real-world problems, collaborate with others, and produce products that are meaningful and useful to a wide audience.
The 2015-16 academic school year is an experimental year for YouthBuild Charter School. A new model for interdisciplinary learning is being implemented this school year. I will be co teaching an Economics/Business Development and Technology course with the Science instructor at my site, Ashley Kang. Click on the link bellow to view our planning guide on how to incorporate both of Economics/Business Development with Technology. This course will focus on creating new products using a 3D printer in order to create a successful business product with a business plan. I am coaching Ashely on how to utilize Google Education Apps to best collaborate on developing the course and also to have students collaborate with each other as well. Being the first teacher to have used Google Classroom, I am also familiarizing Ashley with how to utilize Google Classrooms.
As I reflect on my coaching, I can see Ashley becoming more confident in using Google Education Apps in the classroom. She started using Google Classrooms for daily Warm Up and assignments. In our effort to collaborate, we use Google Drive to ensure that we are in sync in terms of assignments, attendance and grading. Indeed, there is much growth that is in the works. Such as coaching her in incorporating Google Forms to create quizzes and assessments. Also, demonstrating how Google Extensions and Apps can be used in her Technology and Science courses. In the coming weeks, Ashley and I will meet every Friday after school to discuss her progress and so I can provide additional support with these goals.
Assisting Ashley helps me meet this indicator by collaborating and creating assignments tackling real-world problems through research. Currently, we are incorporating technology with financial literacy to create meaningful learning for our students. Financial Literacy is a subject that is rarely taught in High School, Ashley and I are taking it amongst ourselves to help our students produce meaningful learning experience and our students to produce products such as 'mini financial video clips' to assess learning and students to share what they are learning to a wider audience.

f. Coach teachers in and model incorporation of research-based best practices in instructional design when planning technology-enhanced learning experiences.
In my EDEL 529 Learning Theory course, I was able to research best practices for instructional design. The following Google Presentation is a part of a collaboration with two colleagues that summarizes our Literature Review in best practices for Project Based Learning (PBL) and Technology in the classroom. The emphasis of the Literature Review is to investigate research-based best practices in instructional design for incorporating PBL and Technology in three different classroom environments. My guiding questions was: Will incorporating a Project Based curriculum using technology help students articulate the main components and trends of the topic at hand? I was able to share my results with my colleagues in the Master Program along with instructors at YouthBuild Charter School. The result of sharing this research with my school resulted in creating space for online collaboration for students using Google Drive and Google Education Apps. Another benefit from sharing this information was the acquisitions of Google Chromebooks for the classroom.
